Skype Internet Communications
To increase and ease the communications for the Linkshell during events, it has been decided on to use a free program called Skype. Skype is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) program that allows you to use your computer as a telephone. Skype to Skype calls are free and Skype to landline and cellular phones are at a reasonable price.
To get started you will need either a built in microphone on your computer or a headset. Go to skype.com to download and install their free program. Once the program is installed, run the program and create your account. Once your account is finished being created post your account Name here and add previous posts to your contacts list.
For use during an event, it should be but does not have to be the event coordinator's responsiblity to set up the conference call. Under the Call menu, select Conference Call and add members to the call as needed.
This new method of communication should provide the White Dragon Society with better teamwork management during major events over the old type chat methods provided by Final Fantasy XI.

Re: Skype Internet Communications
I have a skype also, but I am not sure how reliable that would be, the last time I had multiple users connected via skype it kind of messed up.
SKYPE IS: darkfury3526
Vent server would be a good idea, but it is a little costly, I do know there is a free one but I can't remember the name of it at the moment, if anything I can supply a few bucks to help pay for a chat service.
Teamspeak is the one I was thinking about, and afaik, I can host the server on my webspace, I don't think it should be hard, I just have to double check with my provider so that they won't be crabby about it.
